Half of all college students are concerned about paying their monthly expenses according to Ohio State University. With the largest inflation rates in 40 years everything is more expensive, food, housing, gas and other necessities. During the beginning of 2023 the inflation rate- measured as a year-over-year increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI)- was around 8.5% with a normal inflation rate being around 2%; The CPI for groceries alone rose by 10%.
