If you know me, I have a coupon for everything. Whether it is clothing shopping, going to a restaurant, or going to the grocery store, I try to bring coupons that will help me save money. The nice part of being in such a digital age, is that most coupons you can find online! Here are some of my favorite apps to help me save money!
The Target App: This app is amazing! I love Target and could talk about it for days, but I will stick to explaining the app and its features. This app is a rewards program that you can sign up for free that gives you 1% back on all your purchases. Then when you collect your 1% cashback, you can use that money towards any purchase. Basically, Target pays you to shop there! All you have to do is have the cashier scan the barcode in the app and you are good to go! This app also provides coupons just for being apart of the rewards program as well as manufacturer coupons for any name brand food or beauty products you may buy.
This app also includes a barcode reader. What that means is after you grab all the necessities (and maybe some spur of the moment purchases) just scan the barcode on the product and see if Target has any coupons for those items!
The Mint App: This app is recommended by all of us here at It Makes Cents to help you budget your money, find ways to save money and focus on the necessities with spending. This app pairs with your bank account to track your purchases, spending, and what you have in your bank accounts. It also helps you with your finance goals such as saving for a car, or a plan to pay back student loans.
This app helps you create a budget that is flexible just like you, and gives you tips on how to save more. It can track your credit score as well as remind you to pay rent.
The Kwik Trip app. Being in La Crosse, there is a Kwik Trip within a 2-mile radius of each other which is awesome! This app works by giving you a barcode to scan at the register to earn “trips” 15 trips gets you free items such as a free coffee, free hot sandwich, or 5 cents off gas. They also have coupons for deals on drinks and snacks as well. My advice would be to save your 15 trips for the 5 cents off gas to save at your next fill up. Since Kwik Trip is basically the only place to get gas in the La Crosse area, why not get an app that helps you save money and get a chicken sandwich for free!
Even if you go to google and type “coupons for (certain store)” you are sure to find promo codes or coupons to save money on your trip!
Lastly, any store you go to, see if they provide an app to earn rewards and save money. Some examples are American Eagle, Walgreens, CVS, Noodles and Company, and McDonalds.
Hope this helps and happy saving!
